Rainforests by Brindha

In the world, there are many rainforests. In these rainforests there are many species. Hundreds of rainforest plants are used for food and medicine. Some drugs have allowed 80 per cent improvement in some cancers. The Brazilian peach palms produce up to 300 fruits every year and they are very healthy for us. There are many animals live in rainforests.

Rainforests by Aisha

In the world, there are about 3 million species of rainforest plants. Amazonian people use more than 1,300 of them as medicines. Hundreds of rainforests are used for food. However, only less than one per cent have been investigated.

Rainforest plants are really good as medicine. 25 per cent of medicines originated from the rainforests. Some can even be used to cure cancer. In addition, rainforests provide food for people and animals. For example; Brazilian peach palms which produces up to 300 fruits everyday. Rainforests are home to lots of animals such as; Armadillos.

Rainforests by Jann

Lots of people fight against deforestation. Deforestation destroys the habitat. Hundred of rainforest plants are used for food products. It is estimated that 25per cent of all our medicine come from plants growing in the rainforests which can be used to help people who suffer from various diseases.
Now as the rainforests have been destroyed, plants are lost forever. So too a great knowledge to learn from them. Only the rich people become richer but poor people continue to suffer.
I think this is not acceptable!
