PLFC EAL students reflecting on 'One Billion Rising Campaign' - 2

1 in 3 women run the risk of being raped or beaten in their life time. They will be sexually, physically or psychologically abused. It is important to raise awareness because there are women who are being abused and no one knows about it. This will continue until someone does something.
Why are they protesting by dancing? Because dances attract people, everyone can dance and enjoy!

All around the world there are no voices for women who are raped and they can't do anything about it because in this world, men think women can't do anything alone.
For example; in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka most women don't have a voice. I think women should have the right to do everything. They need to voice their opinion.

It is really important for women because they are always scared of their husbands or bosses who are in higher places than them. I think men need to respect women.
The reason why women are protesting by dance is that, when they watch the dance and sing the song, they will make sure that all people hear them.

Nowadays violence against women has increased. Statistics shows that 1 in 3 women gets raped, or beaten at least once in their whole life. The movement 'One Billion Rising' is a non-violent protest to fight against abuse of women.

It is important to raise awareness because it will increase the people's knowledge and confidence to fight against injustice. People must know what is happening in the world. 'One Billion Rising' is a worldwide movement which is expanding throughout the world. Women protest by dancing which is a powerful way of expressing emotions.
